From a young age, I harboured aspirations of becoming a sports journalist. Growing up watching as much sport as I did, the lives of commentators and writers always seemed such fun. After completing my first semester of a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Media&Writing at the University of Cape Town in 2016, I was offered an internship at Golf Digest South Africa. Over those five weeks the journalism bug well and truly bit me and I have since completed four months at SA Cricket Magazine and am currently the South African Disabled Golf Association’s media liaison.

In an effort to equip myself with the skills necessary to be competitive in the ever-evolving media job-market, I switched my major from Media&Writing to Multimedia Production for the final 18 months of my studies.
